5G-INNOPLATT-NES - and PIA is part of it!
As one of several companies in the Rhön-Grabfeld district, we are starting in the 5G-INNOPLATT-NES funding project, which is supported by the federal government with over 3 million euros.
The aim of the project is to explore the benefits of an innovative 5G infrastructure, to expand modern and innovative developments and to create an innovative edge for the region through advancing digitalization (implementations of Industry 4.0 scenarios using 5G technology).
Over the next 3 years, PIA Automation Bad Neustadt will work closely with Preh GmbH to analyze production data. With the help of 5G technology and the PIA Industrial App Suite, information is to be obtained from this production data in order to reduce production down times and the associated high costs to a minimum.
To this end, data is to be transmitted to a central server by means of a 5G network set up specifically for this purpose. Specifically, in this funded sub-project, the production data of the superconverter line realized last year will be analyzed with the help of the PIA Industrial App Suite and the information obtained from it will be fed back to Preh.
