Fundraising campaign for Croatia

On 29.12.2020 the earth shook in Croatia. In the Petrinja area, 50 kilometers south of Zagreb, the quake reached a magnitude of 6.4 on the Richter scale and caused partly devastating damage. Even today, people are still suffering from the consequences of this natural disaster. When neighbors are in need, Austrians show their true strength - proof of this is a fundraising campaign supported by PIA Automation Austria. 

One of the main organizers of the initiative is Berislav "Bero" Miljak, assembly worker at PIA in Grambach. Through his contacts in the crisis area, he received information about the most urgently needed items. Thereupon he collected - together with friends and work colleagues - the needed utensils, actively sought supporters in the region (e.g. municipalities) and transported the donations to the crisis region. The Caritas site in Sisak and the SOS Children's Village in Lekenik, for example, were pleased with these aid deliveries.
