Visit PIA at Productronica

When the Productronica doors open in Munich on November 14^th, the automation specialists from PIA Automation will be therein Hall B4 at Booth 424 presenting the entire range of automation solutions for efficient manufacturing of electronic products.

One of PIA's main topics at the trade show is automated cable processing and their ability to offer customized special solutions for assembly tasks with high cycle rates and flexible cable lengths. They also offer solutions for downstream processes such as connector assembly and PCB handling. At its booth, the company will present various case studies and the team will demonstrate how connectors, terminal strips, plugs, switches or sockets can be produced efficiently with consistent quality using PIA equipment.

Such solutions play a key role in electromobility and trends such as autonomous driving. For example, there is a growing demand for high-voltage cable harnesses and cables that are used to exchange a wide range of data. "Cable assembly is a growth market, especially for electromobility. Our ambition is to shape this market and inspire our customers with highly flexible, efficient solutions," says Johannes Strasser, Managing Director of PIA Amberg. Not only is the market for e-vehicles growing continuously - in August alone, the Federal Motor Transport Authority approved almost 87,000 new vehicles - but also the variety of options. This means higher demands on the production systems of the components and the need to meet high standards in terms of precision, quality and safety.

At Productronica, along with the topic of wire processing, PIA will also present other solutions that enable their customers to automate the production of central components for electric vehicles. These include high-voltage charging connections or low-voltage connections that customers need for products like displays and radar systems. Hybrid modules, e-drives, or battery systems can also be manufactured on PIA's equipment.
