Extensive expansion measures have begun at the PIA Automation Amberg site. The groundbreaking ceremony for a fourth assembly hall and the extension of an office building was held at the end of October.

“With 345 employees today, the company is bursting at the seams,” said André Vales, Managing Director of PIA Automation Amberg. The capacity of the existing floor space is exhausted. The new buildings will provide considerably more space and at the same time optimize the production process, because the volume of orders and the size of the assembly lines have grown in recent years.

The new assembly hall, with a production area of 1800 m², will have a modern and energy-efficient design (Reconstruction Credit Institute [KFW] efficiency rating 70), so that the employees can be offered optimal working conditions. Completion of the extension and the new building is planned for next autumn. The company still has the opportunity to build two more assembly halls with office buildings and corresponding parking facilities for the steadily growing workforce thanks to the remaining open areas of the company property.
