The new PIA Industrial App Suite: more efficient, more productive, and now available on mobile devices

The software update offers numerous benefits
PIA has further improved the App Suite with version 5.0.0. Users can optimize the use of their assembly lines and have mobile access to system data.
The latest version of the software package offers numerous new benefits compared to the previous version. The user interface has been extensively enhanced to enable even more intuitive operation. Fresh features include individual customizations for menus and display options. In addition to efficiency reports and OEE key figures at plant level, the latest app now also provides detailed reports at station level. The extended filter options allow more precise and user-defined analyses, which is particularly beneficial for large assembly systems. A low-code designer has also been integrated, making it possible to implement specific requirements without modifying the core software. This means that customer-specific reports can be created, and interfaces to third-party systems can be easily connected.
The new mobile application, available from IAS version 5.0, offers abundant advantages for Android users. It enables fast and flexible access to current and historical assembly line data and consolidated key performance indicators. In addition, the app supports real-time notifications, making it easier for users to react quickly to system status and performance data and thus identify and rectify potential problems at an early stage.
PIA Industrial App Suite – Maximum efficiency for your production
The PIA Industrial App Suite comprises several applications aimed at maximizing plant utilization. Production, machine, and telemetry data are transferred to the suite via a standardized interface to the field level. The App Suite provides the user with powerful tools to perform analyses that focus on various aspects of system evaluation.
Production transparency: The piaVisibility enables full transparency of system processes. Configurable dashboards and KPIs can be used to visually display and localize bottlenecks on assembly lines, creating a sound information basis for decision-making.
Production quality: piaAnalyze allows detailed analyses of production data in order to compare product quality across different product variants or to investigate the influence of batch changes. Correlations between machining processes and their results can also be recognized, which facilitates the identification of quality influences.
Production availability: piaOEEtracker can be used to monitor and analyze the availability of machines and systems. This reduces unexpected downtime, maximizes uptime, and prevents production shutdowns through predictive maintenance.
Production efficiency: The heart of the suite, piaOptimum, offers detailed analyses of machine cycle times down to individual process cycles. Interactions between faults, quality problems, and efficiency losses can be identified, and production can be optimized in a controlled manner.
A holistic approach to digital added value
With the App Suite, PIA delivers a comprehensive approach to digitalizing the value chain. The analyzed data not only provides insights into the production process, but is also highly relevant for the service sector. With the piaMaintenance application, maintenance activities can be planned and optimized in a targeted manner to ensure higher system availability. The suite analyzes assembly and testing systems worldwide, identifies weak points, and sustainably improves productivity. It is aimed equally at line workers, shift supervisors, maintenance teams, and management, providing all user groups with individually prepared information and detailed reports.
With increasing digitalization and automation in manufacturing, the PIA App Suite helps companies produce more efficiently and economically as well as significantly increase their competitiveness. Potential production and quality problems are identified and eliminated at an early stage, ensuring continuous improvement of production processes.
