In the world of razors, precision is most important. The fully automatic PIA assembly system for 5-fold cutting units sets new standards in production of razors for men and women. We can leverage from many years of experience in the successful realization of numerous razor and shaver production lines.
Two assembly modules for optimum production
The challenge was to develop a system that could not only handle the assembly, but also testing and packaging of 5-fold cutting units fully automatically. It needed to be ensured that the system was flexible enough to process different models and designs.
PIA’s engineered solution implements a production line consisting of four interlinked PIA basic cells. This structure enables seamless integration and a high degree of flexibility in footprint and buffer.
A special feature of PIA’s machine is the dedicated and tested solutions for blade processing, from feeding, punching and welding to the inspection of already bent or unwelded blades.
