Innovative production line for touch displays for premium devices
Anyone who has ever operated a washing machine, vacuum cleaner, or steam cooker knows that premium domestic appliances are not only high quality and extremely durable, but can usually also be intuitive and reliable operated - often via touch displays. But what is behind this user-friendly technology? The answer lies in optical bonding, a process for connecting the outer glass panel with the touch glass behind it.
Optical bonding: the technology behind the perfect household appliances
PIA Automation has already developed and installed several optical bonding systems for customers from various industries and regions. Especially for premium household appliances, the displays must meet the highest requirements - with high-contrast information in high color brilliance and precise control with the finger.
It has a significant influence on the operation, the display of the colors, legibility, and overall quality of the display. With Liquid Optical Clear Adhesive Bonding (LOCA bonding), the supreme discipline of optical bonding, a bonding filler is applied between the glass bezel and the touch glass behind it, which is distributed evenly and bubble-free between both components. Displays produced in this way are clear and color-intensive, less sensitive to reflections from external light sources, and pollution and more robust – as glass cover, dispensing materials and touch sensor, form a stable composite.

Precision and quality: The optical bonding systems from PIA Automation
The optical bonding systems from PIA Automation impress with their absolute precision, high repeat accuracy, fast cycle times, and excellent quality. PIA's systems check crucial processes during the production. If necessary, adjustments can be made instantly - a unique selling point that has already impressed many customers.
