- Relocation to new production site

Increasing efficiency and quality in the automotive industry
The production of car keys requires precision and reliability. The challenge was to develop an assembly line that not only reduces production costs, but also ensures the quality and consistency of the products.
Production time reduced, error rate minimized
Our assembly line consists of eight modules that work together seamlessly. In the first module, the circuit board is connected to the upper part of the key. The reworked parts are also fed in. The parts are then transported to the second and third modules using the workpiece carrier. In these two cells, the upper and lower parts are joined together using a circular welding machine. In module 4, a robot inserts the battery into the key. Pushers, springs, and the battery cover are fitted. Then, in module 5, the keypad and the cover are also pressed in by a robot. An anyfeeder feeds the keypad into module 6. It is then fitted there. The emergency key calibration and the assembly of the panic button and panel then take place in module 7. Finally, the parts are tested in an EOL tester and put out.

Relocation and service portfolio
After several successful years at the customer's original production site, PIA relocated the machine to a new production site. This relocation is part of our comprehensive service portfolio, which ensures that customers always benefit from the best production conditions.
