Job description
The Business Development and Account Manager promotes the company’s project solutions and expands his/her existing network to sell the company’s systems, drives growth, develops new opportunities in target market segments, and meets booking targets.
Your tasks
- Leverage multiple sources to identify and qualify potential clients such as cold calling, professional networks, and personal contacts with new/existing clients. Update CRM system daily.
- Travel to customer sites to promote the capabilities of the company and work with customer to determine initial concepts and feasibility of potential projects.
- Develop order/OI forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge and provide updates on new technology, markets, competition, trends, customers’ CAPEX cycles, and environment.
- Work with Applications Engineers to assist in preparing proposals, estimates, and operational specifications.
- Participate in contract negotiation including technical specification, financial terms, and delivery.
- Act as the first level customer liaison in all customer / company transactions and maintain high level of satisfaction
Work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Engineering or Medical degree preferred) and/or experience in BD and sales.
- 5-10 years of successful and verifiable experience of high-tech selling and negotiation skills in “solution and systems sales” in Life Sciences segment
- Possess an excellent active network of contacts in MedTech market segment
- Demonstrated effective negotiation and presentation skills
- Possesses hunter mentality to identify prospects and convert them to clients
- Develop market analyses and product strategies
- Continuously observe competitors
- Strong & flexible networker, able to travel extensively, both domestic and international (occasionally Europe)
