This is where mechanical and electrical engineering meet. Your training as a mechatronics technician will qualify you for all activities involved in the production and maintenance of facilities and production systems. You’ll repair and maintain our assembly facilities and machines, build and modify our production systems, or work in our special machine construction service team.

During your training, you’ll be

  • assembling & installing mechatronics facilities and systems
  • reading & understanding technical documents and applying what you learn from them
  • planning and controlling work and movement sequences

Mechatronics technician (m/f) – Specializing in PLC (programmable logic control) (Germany)

This is where mechanical and electrical engineering meet software. In the first two years, the focus will be on assembling and installing mechanical machines. As a prospective programmer, you’ll spend the rest of your training mainly in software development. The aim is the creation and commissioning of software for complex automation systems, preferably in PLC and the associated visualization systems.

During your training, you’ll be

  • assembling and installing mechatronics machines, plants and systems
  • reading & understanding technical documents and applying what you learn from them
  • planning and controlling work and movement sequences
  • developing software and commissioning complex automation systems in PLC/robotics and the associated visualizations

Technical product designer (m/f) (Germany)

The profession of Technical Draftsman has been renamed Technical Product Designer. As a Technical Product Designer, you’ll develop and design assembly components for various industries together with other specialists. You’ll use 2D and 3D CAD programs to create manufacturing drawings and many diagrams of components and assemblies.

During your training, you’ll be

  • creating standard manufacturing drawings of individual parts and assemblies
  • creating drawings using 3D CAD programs (Solid Works)
  • developing and designing automatic assembly machines and components for various industries
  • working on projects
  • documenting and controlling workflows

Cutting machine operator (m/f) (Germany)

Cutting machine operators are familiar with the various material properties and their possible uses. Your tasks will include all the activities in the field of metal cutting. You’ll operate & maintain CNC-controlled milling, turning and grinding machines, using various techniques. You’ll also monitor the quality of the workpieces and correct, measure & test them.

During your training, you’ll be

  • producing precision components made of different materials, using machining processes such as milling, turning and grinding
  • programming CNC machines
  • setting up and equipping milling, turning and grinding machines
  • planning and monitoring manufacturing processes
  • performing quality control procedures for the manufactured parts
  • thinking and acting with time & material savings in mind

Fachinformatiker – Fachrichtung Systemintegration m/w (Deutschland)

Beschreibung:

Begrifflichkeiten wie RAM oder C++ sind dir nicht fremd. Außerdem sind dein Computer und du die besten Freunde und du kennst nahezu jedes Detail von ihm wie deine eigene Westentasche. Systemfehler oder andere Störungen können dir nichts anhaben, denn du weißt sie (fast) immer zu lösen. Dann solltest du unbedingt über die Ausbildung zum Fachinformatiker für Systemintegration nachdenken. Denn dann hast du beruflich jeden Tag mit IT-Systemen zu tun.

Ausbildungsinhalte:

Goods must be available at the right time and in the right place. Your work as an operational logistics specialist entails many tasks: acceptance of goods, checking the delivery dates, required quality and quantity of goods, managing storage, and the determination of and compliance with storage costs and storage times. Then there’s the active monitoring of orders, the preparation and control of all relevant documents, the organization of the entire transport to the final destination and the handling of IT programs with which logistics is organized.

During your training, you’ll be

  • shown how a warehouse works, including the various processes and workflows for organizing the flow of goods
  • determining demand and processing orders
  • handling software and programs
  • performing inventories
  • moving goods with different conveyors

Your job training covers the fields of mechanical engineering, electronics and information technology. Your tasks will involve the setup and installation of complex mechatronic systems and their maintenance and repair. You’ll be working in workshops and production halls together with a team consisting of supervisors and colleagues from the fields of electrical engineering, electronics and mechanical engineering. Assembly work is also carried out externally, at different customers’ sites.

During your training, you’ll be

  • dismantling and assembling machines, equipment, systems and facility components
  • assembling and installing mechanical, electrical, and electronic components
  • setting up, laying and connecting cables
  • entering control programs and creating & using test programs
  • installing and checking mechatronic hardware and software components
  • managing technical documentation, service and maintenance logs, lists and journals

Metal technician (m/f), metal cutting technician (Austria)

Metal technician (m/f), metal cutting technician (Austria)

The main focus of your work will be on the production of complex individual parts for PIA facilities. You’ll be working two shifts in manufacturing as a trained metal technician. The job itself is very varied, because each customer gets an individual solution, so the tasks are always unique – and that makes your job interesting and very educational.

During your training, you’ll be

  • creating and modifying manufacturing programs for computerized (CNC) machine tools and production facilities
  • taking over and adapting computer-aided (CAD) designs in manufacturing programs (CAM)
  • determining machining parameters, selecting the proper tools and working with values
  • setting up, commissioning and operating machine tools and production lines for the machining of materials

Training on the Job

The knowledge acquired at school is immediately applied in the company. The advantage: The final examination is more or less “automatic”, because every apprentice is already used to performing what’s being asked in the examination papers.

Learning with a personal coach

As an apprentice, you’ll receive intensive support and encouragement from specialists during your training, both in the company departments and in the in-house training workshop. Your apprenticeship training is based on the “Buddy Principle”, where all apprentices are supported by a mentor who supports them both professionally and personally.
